His Power In Your Life - Thursday's Dose - 12th July 2018

“The Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left” - (Exodus 14:22).

Thoughts for Today

At the Red Sea, Moses and the nation of Israel were faced with a demoralizing dead end. Pharaoh had released God's people, but he certainly was not happy about what he had done. He immediately gathered his soldiers and led the pursuit to recapture them.

The Israelites, in the meantime, felt amazingly free. They temporarily forgot the sorrows of Egyptian bondage. However, when Pharaoh's army suddenly started breathing down their necks, they realized they were unarmed and their only avenue of escape was blocked. Death seemed imminent.

Have you ever felt this way? You may have tried to do what was right and even sensed some release from your problems. However, the moment you drew in a deep breath, you felt the pursuit was on again, and there was no way to outrun the problem pursuing you. When your back is against a wall and there appears to be no way of escape, remember, God will make a way of escape for you.

At the first sight of the Egyptian soldiers, the people of Israel cried out and turned on Moses:

"What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? ... It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!" Then the Lord said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground" (Exodus 14: 11-12, 15-16).

All the time Israel was crying and fretting, God had a plan. Trials and troubles are opportunities for God to display His power in your life. Trust Him to rescue you from the hand of your enemy.

Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, thank you for displaying Your power in my life through my trials and troubles. May I glorify You as You make a way out. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen.".

Have a Blessed Thursday and God Bless you.
