Walking Without Condemnation

Walking Without Condemnation By Lizzie Ducking -

The one thing that holds us back from being the best that we can be is condemnation of ourselves. It is not the opinion of others about us that makes us feel unworthy but it is our own opinion of what others think of us. For the most part, they are not thinking about us.

Condemnation of ourselves will also make us withdraw from God but He does not condemn us at all He loves us and His love for us is unconditional. Therefore, in spite of what we have done, God still loves us and that will never change.

In John 8:3-11 there was a woman who was caught in adultery and the Scribes and Pharisees brought her to Jesus. They told Him what the law was concerning such an act and they asked Him what He had to say about it. Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger as though He did not hear them so they continued asking Him. He rose up and said unto them, he who is without sin among you; let him throw a stone at her first. He stooped down again and while there, the woman accusers left one by one because all of them had sin somewhere in their life. When Jesus rose again and saw no one there except the woman He asked her where those accusers of hers are. Has no one condemned her? She said no Lord and He said to her neither do I condemn you, go your way and sin no more.

The bible tell us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God but once we have made Jesus our Lord and Savior then all our sins are washed away. Therefore, we should not feel condemn about anything that we have done in our life. He said, whom the Son set free is free indeed and that includes condemnation.

Romans 8:1 say there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit. Condemnation will keep us from coming to the Lord to receive from Him. We might feel ashamed of what we have done but God knows what we have done, it is not a secret to Him because all things are open unto Him. If we withdraw from the Lord, we will not be able to receive from Him.

Condemnation is as a weight upon our shoulder but once it is removed we will feel free, free to be ourselves, free to love others and free to accept His love for us and this is His will for us. Many people think that God does not love them because of what they have done in their life. They think that their sin is unforgivable but the truth is, there is only one sin that will not be forgiven us and it is to blaspheme the Holy Ghost, all others will be forgiven if we would ask for forgiveness.
We walk without condemnation by simply believing that Jesus has forgiven us of all our sins and if the devil try to remind us of what we have done and he will try to remind us, we simply remember that we are forgiven because Jesus does not condemn us instead He loves us unconditionally.
