Are you living your life to the fullest? Is the peace and joy of the Lord abiding in you? Are you sowing seeds to produce the fruit of the Spirit?
Did you know that "abundant" life that Jesus is talking is something more meaningful than material wealth and prosperity?
Here are a few points sharing what Abundant life means:
Do Not Be Anxious - “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all."- Matthew 6:25–32
You glow different when God’s abundance flow through your life! Be grateful for the opportunity that He provides for you to change, thrive, create, and grow in God’s abundant grace, hope, peace, joy and love! - "Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." - Colossians 3:2–3
It begins with salvation from an eternity of suffering the penalty of sin. - "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23
An abundant life is, first and foremost, eternal life. - "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." - John 17:3
Set your minds on things that are above - "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." - Romans 12:2
The abundant life means gaining a heavenly perspective leading to a growing trust and knowledge of God. - "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." - 2 Peter 3:18
It means blossoming into a life full of the fruit of the spirit. - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." - Galatians 5:22–23
While false teachers and false religions offer shallow, temporary relief, only Jesus brings truly everlasting life and spiritual abundance. - "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6
Friend, Jesus is the only way, truth and life and your life will be to the fullest once you believe in Him and obey His word. He will fill your life in abundance and set you free from earthly bondages and attacks. Keep seeking and fixing your eyes on Jesus. God Bless.
