5 Wonderful Quotes About Wonder - By Steve Wickham

To marvel is a privilege and those who engage in wonder are blessed. Wonder is the beginning of true life, as wonder leads us to love, and love leads us to God.
These, below, are five incredibly inspirational quotes on wonder designed to get us thinking:
"To see a World in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour."
~William Blake (1757-1827)
There is majesty in sand and exquisiteness in a flower, such that both have an incredibly intelligent design about them. One constructs the modern world; the other, brightens the world and is pivotal to life and the honey bee. Eternal concepts are infinite in their range, but, just the same, awesomely small. There is great wonder in things we are blessed to possess. And God is the giver of all good gifts.
"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year."
~Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
Imagine the wonder in considering every day as our birthday. That would make that day wondrously special. When we commit to a life, from each day's start, as being characterised this way, we truly will see the wonder in many more things. This is the day the LORD has made; let us be glad and joyful about it.
"You'll never find a rainbow if you're looking down."
~Charlie Chaplin (1889-1977)
Mental attitude. Mental attitude. Mental attitude.
Sure, life is tough, and there are few even breaks at times, but we have a choice whether we'll feel cold and wet after freshly fallen rain, or look up to wonder at the colours in the rainbow, cherishing the entry of sunshine.
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."
~Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
Curiosity is no bad thing when we use it for learning. A sense of wonder fuels learning and it's the humble heart who desires such knowledge of truth we call wisdom. Curiosity and wonder go hand in glove. The genuinely curious person, who is innately virtuous by nature, has everything they need to succeed in life.
"We are an impossibility in an impossible universe."
~Ray Bradbury (1920-2012)
Can anyone, or any science, truly demonstrate understanding of creation to full effect? Will we ever fully know? We cannot and will not. The things of God, to the extent of creation, are full of power for wonder. Consider for one moment the enormous plethora of everyday miracles that occur routinely, which science may or may not explain, as the universe functions and continues expanding. Such numbers and concepts, many of which, are incomprehensible.
